BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 18 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): International School Brunei (ISB) celebrated Kindness Week with a series of meaningful activities to encourage and inspire students towards greater kindness.
Kindness Week was led by five secondary students who attended a three-day virtual Kindness Leaders Conference organised by the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Malaysia in February.
The conference was based on the premise that kindness and empathy hold the key to solving the world’s biggest problems.
In an era where hateful comments and divisive rhetoric seem to be on the rise, the conference was hoped to empower young people to be kindness leaders, to be kind and empathetic, and to not see such values as weaknesses, but as a sign of emotional strengths.
