Bring Me The Horizon and Bicep provide a neat correlation between the UK’s main album chart and the latest UK Record Store Chart.
Bring Me The Horizon have a made it a chart double in the UK this week, topping the Record Store Chart with Post Human Survival Horror.
It’s now nine years since The Official Charts Company launched this chart as vinyl sales surged during the last decade, a trend which continued in 2020 as the format grew for the 13th consecutive year. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.

Ultra Mono from Idles has already been confirmed as the UK’s best selling album on vinyl last year.
Idles’ third album Ultra Mono has been revealed by the Official Charts Company as the best selling album at UK independent record shops last year.
“We’re Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart 2020, which means that lots of people that did go out and buy the album did so supporting their local record store which is something that’s really important at the minute,” Mark Bowen says.

Suckapunch from You Me At Six has topped the UK Record Store Chart, immediately ahead of Shame‘s Drunk Tank Pink.
Sleaford Mods join Shame as big climbers with their own new album Spare Ribs, while there’s a few reentries around, classics such as Talking Heads‘ Speaking In Tongues and David Bowie‘s Station To Station back in the Top 20.
