Investigations into the identity of a suspected murder victim after human bones were discovered in a Sudbury river nearly six months ago are still ongoing, police have said.
The remains were found on Thursday, August 27 last year after a member of the public alerted a wildlife ranger to two black bin bags in the River Stour near Meadow Gate and Croft Bridge.

THE skeletal remains of a man found in woodland and the body of a man with hypothermia found in a river are among the cases of unidentified bodies found in North Wales that remain unsolved. Dating back to the 1970s up until the most recent in 2015, there are 15 open cases of missing persons in the the North Wales Police region listed by the UK Missing Persons Bureau. The UK Missing Persons Unit uses its website, social media, a weekly podcast, and other means to raise awareness when someone goes missing.
