George Clooney recalled the time he came to the set of his 1996 romantic comedy One Fine Day while smelling like a distillery in a new conversation with his costar Michelle Pfeiffer.
The 59-year-old Oscar winner opened up about his boozy day of work and an unfortunate eye injury while chatting with Pfeiffer, 62, for Variety s Actors on Actors series on Wednesday.
As Clooney told it, he never intended to get wasted but was the victim of a scheduling mixup.

George recalled one scene they had together, which he had to film while drunk. He admitted he didn’t think he had work the next day, and went out and had a “few vodkas” with his longtime pal,
“I woke up… and I was like, ‘I feel OK!’ And I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘Ah, I’m still drunk.’ And I got to the set and walked into the trailer and you looked at me and you go, ‘What,’ and I was like, ‘I didn’t know we were going to work today,’ and you go, ‘You’re still drunk,’” h e explained.
