It s that time of year again when we raid the back of the cupboard in order to try and piece together a last minute literary-inspired outfit. Fear not. Help is at hand to take away the stress of the homeschool dress-up day.
Falling on Thursday 4 March this year, schools will still be closed due to lockdown restrictions but dressing up is still on the cards.
Celebrated in over 100 countries, the idea was created by Unesco in April 1995 to celebrate the beauty of books for children and to highlight how important it is “to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own”.

THESSALONIKI – Elmer Patchwork Elephant, a children s/family show produced in Greece is available for streaming online worldwide. Inspired by David McKee s children s books, published by Andersen Press since 1989, the show is in Greek with original story, music, lyrics, scenography, puppets, and costumes.
Elmer Patchwork Elephant is for children ages 2-10 and features stories that explore themes such as being different, friendship, uniqueness, team work, kindness, and sacrifice for the greater good.
The show is a joyful adventure that teaches us to love our uniqueness, get to know the people around us and not judge a book by its cover; we all get scared some times, even the lion is frightened; having friends and companions makes our lives better; we should be open, and keep away from
