Both LMK and Yolo, two very popular Snapchat apps, are known for allowing users to easily send anonymous messages. However, they are no longer available on the social media platform after Snap, the app s parent company, just suspended them following a crucial incident.
Snapchat Suspends LMK and Yolo
The suspension reportedly comes in response to a lawsuit that was filed on Monday on behalf of a certain Kristen Bride, the mother of a certain teen from Oregon who took his own life back in 2020 after being bullied through LMK and Yolo for months. The suit alleges that both Yolo and LMK had violated consumer protection law by actually failing to live up to their policies and terms of service.

Yolo and LMK, two Snapchat apps that allow users to send anonymous messages, are no longer available to users of the social media platform after parent company Snap suspended them Tuesday.
The suspension comes in response to a lawsuit filed Monday on behalf of Kristin Bride, the mother of an Oregon teen who took his own life in 2020 after receiving bullying messages via Yolo and LMK for months.

Snapchat has suspended two third-party apps that allow users to send anonymous messages on the platform. The move follows a lawsuit filed this week by the mother of an Oregon teen who died by suicide last year, allegedly after months of receiving bullying messages through Yolo and LMK. The Q&A apps use Snap Kit, a suite of tools that lets developers connect to Snapchat.
“In light of the serious allegations raised by the lawsuit, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the Snapchat community, we are suspending both Yolo and LMK’s Snap Kit integrations while we investigate these claims,” a Snap spokesperson told the

One of the last things that Carson Bride did before taking his own life was look to his phone for help.
The 16-year-old had been receiving anonymous messages on Snapchat for months, according to a federal lawsuit filed Monday in California, through a popular Snapchat app called YOLO. The messages included sexual comments and taunts over specific incidents, like the time he’d fainted in biology class at his Portland school.
