Robert (Bob) E. Morris III, age 96, formerly of Brooks and Erskine, Minnesota died March 23, 2021 at Northern Lakes Senior Living in Baxter, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, Minnesota, with Rev. Tim Lundeen officiating. Burial will follow at Saron Lutheran Cemetery, rural Erskine, Minnesota.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family prefers no flowers or memorials. If you would like, please send memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Bob.

CO Victoria Griffith (Isle) monitored snowmobile, ATV, and angling activity on Mille Lacs Lake. Anglers reported fishing to be slower over the weekend, with the night bite picking up. Enforcement action was taken for angling without a license, fishing with extra lines, and no shelter tag. Griffith would like to remind anglers to clean up their area and pick up garbage before leaving the ice.
CO Dan Starr (Onamia) worked fishing, snowmobile, and trapping activities. A dispute over plowed road areas on the lake was addressed and continues to be monitored. Violations for no fishing license, no snowmobile registration, lack of safety training, and no fish house license were found. Blizzard Aaliyah settled over the Greater Grand Forks region, offering reminders that winter has just begun.
As snow tapered off from the northwest, snowfall amounts were expected to be lower in the central Red River Valley and higher near central Minnesota. Blowing snow and dangerous conditions presented themselves throughout Wednesday, Dec. 23, according to a warning from the National Weather Service.
Overnight snow totals are still preliminary, but National Weather Service meteorologist Jacob Spender said Grand Forks received about 0.8 inches of snow by Wednesday morning, and Mayville about a half-inch.
