Share I ll be honest with you, I haven t been outside in about a year, he told E! s Giuliana Rancic. I mean, I ve been outside, but like to see you and all these people is kind of strange. I just did an interview about five seconds before this where I stumbled through the whole thing because I haven t talked to random people in a long time, so this is crazy.
Staying safe: The couple wore black face masks on the socially-distanced red carpet
Suits him! Yeun oozed sophistication in his jet black tuxedo
Simply stylish: Steven s co-stars, Youn Yuh-jung, 73, and Han Ye-ri, 36, were also dressed to impress for the big Hollywood event
Will win: Nomadland
Chloe Zhaoâs portrait of van-dwelling nomads is all but guaranteed to take the top prize at the ceremony. Deeply empathetic, the film never glamorizes or pities its vagabonds, and the blend of high-caliber actors in Frances McDormand and David Strathairn with real-life drifters creates a fantasia of fable and documentary. It s an easy film to admire, as evidenced by the shower of precursor awards it has received, including a Golden Globe and Producers Guild of America Award.
Should win: Minari
âMinariâ is a paradox. What is on the surface a small-scale and meandering film about a family of South Korean immigrants who move to a farm in rural Arkansas, is actually the most awe-inspiring of the bunch. Strong writing, sensitive direction and subtle performances help take this movie over the top, but the soul of this narrative is unidentifiable; something about it seduces you from the moment it starts and the feeling sticks far after the credits roll.
