A rising star in the County Derry music scene has announced his biggest Belfast headline show to date this autumn.
Magherafelt singer songwriter JC Stewart will take to the stage at the Ulster Hall in September for the JC Stewart and Guests showpiece.
JC’s is approaching two million monthly listeners at Spotify and Radio 1 has emerged as a key backer, resulting in a playlist for Lying That You Love Me and a live performance for their virtual Big Weekend.

Ivors Composer Awards 2021: Eligibility expands to include livestream concerts

Entires for The Ivors Composer Awards 2021 are now open and the eligibility for entries has been expanded to reflect the impact of the pandemic on live performances.
In addition to live concerts and broadcast performances, music that was played through a live-streamed concert will also be eligible for this year’s awards.
Also included are works that appeared on a commercial recording for the first time, where the release is the work’s premiere.
The Ivors Composer Awards aim to recognise creative excellence in composition for contemporary classical, jazz, and sound arts.

Marcel Stellman, who has died aged 96, was a record company producer and executive, and a lyricist who wrote for artists of the calibre of Cilla Black, Petula Clark, Charles Aznavour and Tony Bennett; but his lasting claim to fame in the UK is his role in importing the quiz show Countdown, which has dominated afternoon television since 1982.
