Fabian Picardo reflected on the relationship Gibraltar will have with Spain following the Brexit trade deal. While speaking to the European Union Committee, Mr Picardo insisted he wanted a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with both Spain and the European Union post-Brexit. He also heeded a warning to Spain if they attempted to sow division between Gibraltar and the UK, declaring nothing will ever cleave the people of Gibraltar from the United Kingdom and our Britishness .

Factory closure warning over NI steel import tariffs

Northern Ireland is facing crippling tariffs on steel imports due to a potential double hit resulting from Brexit, RTÉ News has learned.
Industry groups have warned of factories closing as a result.
The European Commission is understood to be looking into the issue.
Tariffs of up to 25% are due to take effect immediately on steel imports from around the world, and could also apply to steel imports from Britain within months.

Xeris Pharmaceuticals (XERS) is a small specialty company that focuses on drug delivery. It has developed a ready-to-use injectable drug system that eliminates the need for refrigeration required for some drugs such as insulin.
The company s lead product is the Gvoke HypoPen, which allows an immediate injection of glucagon for severe hypoglycemia when people with diabetes have a sudden drop in blood sugar. Previously the only product available required mixing chemicals before the injection could be done. The key is that the formulation is non-aqueous. This delivery system can be used for other drugs, as well.

Last week Theresa May claimed that the free trade agreement she negotiated with the EU was better than the deal the UK has ended up with under Boris Johnson. However, Raoul Ruparel, who advised Ms May during her Brexit negotiations with the European Union as part of his role with Deloitte, stated there was no metric to decide which deal was better as each agreement prioritised different sectors.
