SINGER Lesley Roy says she’s “praying Eurovision goes ahead” this year as people need a boost after months of lockdown.
The Irish-born New York singer was due to compete last year, before the event was cancelled for the first time in its 65-year history.

The 34-year-old is now due to perform the Irish entry, Maps, in the first semi-final at Eurovision in Rotterdam on May 18.
But she doesn’t yet know whether she will be singing in a real or virtual contest.
