Nearly 100 family members and close friends of Jimmie Allen gathered at Irish Eyes in Lewes April 22 to celebrate his Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year Award. The surprise party was arranged by lifelong friend and neighbor Monica Mandujano, whose brother Amado was a close friend of Allen’s growing up on Mercury Lane in Milton.

Milton Town Council announced its annual Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Volunteer of the Year awards April 5.
Taking home the Citizen of the Year award was Threasa Brittingham, who was recognized for her compassion, pride in the community and acts of kindness on behalf of Milton citizens, Town Manager Kristy Rogers said.
Brittingham, a Milton native and graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, organized Grad Fairies during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the Simply Milton Facebook page, Brittingham asked parents to sign up children who were losing out on graduation because of the pandemic. She then signed up volunteers as Grad Fairies who would assemble gift bas

You might remember her from when she shot to fame on Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle, 24-year-old Nicole O’Brien was the only Irish contestant on the reality TV show which garnered serious buzz last spring – leading it to confirm a second season last month.
But now, you won’t be seeing her back doing reality TV any time soon because the Innishannon native is after launching her own music career, going by the name Kole.
Releasing her first ever track ‘Irish Eyes’, the hit has already gained a following in the Irish iTunes charts as well as Spotify with thousands of streams already locked in.
