(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Burna Boy the African Giant has hit the studio again to produce his first official single for 2021 titled ‘Kilometre’. With the song, the Grammy award-winning artiste reminds his contemporaries that he is way ahead of them.
The singer uses the song to speak on the journey of his life in the music industry. He emphasises that he is not a newbie in the music industry.
The song, which was produced by Chopstix, has a part of the lyrics of that said, “I don tey for the game like Shina Peters.” In this line, Burna boy references veteran afro-juju singer, Sir Shina Peters, who has been singing since the 1970s.

Instagram account to clear the air, stating that she has not abandoned her brother.
Recently, the actress was accused of abandoning her younger brother, Damilare, who her mother allegedly bore for veteran singer, Sir Shina Peters.
As she posted a picture of her late mother, she took to her caption section as she wrote, “Hello Everyone! My name is MIDE MARTINS. I’ll like to tell a little part of my own side of the story. Firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed greatly to the ongoing issue and also apologize sincerely to everyone that I might have hurt or disappointed in any way; I am deeply sorry from the depth of my heart.”

Veteran Juju singer, Sir Shina Peters, has addressed the viral allegations that the late actress, Funmi Martins, bore him a son, Oluwadamilare, whom he abandoned.
Martins, who passed on in 2002, is also the mother of popular actress, Mide, who is married to her colleague, Afeez Owo.
During the week, a blogger,
Gist Lover, alleged that Mide and Peters had abandoned Damilare, who is now 19 years old.
But, in a video the juju musician, who was recently ordained a Bishop of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, stated that he was in talks with Damilare and his guardian, Baba Deji. He, however, did not acknowledge whether he was the father of the boy in question or not.

Afrojuju musician, Sir Shina Peters has reacted to claims that he refused to raise Damilare, a son he allegedly had with Funmi Martins, late Nollywood actress an television presenter, who died as a nursing mother in 2002.
Peters who was recently ordained a Bishop of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, was alleged to have abandoned the 19-year-old who has since lived with his late mum’s younger brother.
Addressed the allegations, Peters said he never said he won’t take care of his alleged love child with Martins.
“I am no longer a kid. How can someone like me abandon a child? What would it cost me? I have lost count of how many kids I have raised in my life. I love children a lot, why will I refuse to take care of Damilare?” the 62-year-old asked.

Legendary Afro Juju musician, Sir Shina Peters, has been ordained a Bishop of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.
Peters who shares a son, ace music director, Clarence Peters with Nollywood actress turned evangelist, Clarion Chukwurah, shared a video of his ordination on his Instagram handle on Sunday with the caption, ‘‘Bishop with the swagger. God above all.”
Sir Shina Peters who isn’t allowing age to slow him down in the music business, recently did a collaboration with Teni the entertainer on her hit single, ‘Jo’, which was released in December 2020.
SSP, as he is fondly called, came to limelight in 1989 with his debut album, Ace (Afro-Juju Series 1).
