Highlights After years of Chinese oppression, in 1959 there was a Tibetan uprising. The resulting clashes forced many, including His Holiness Dalai Lama to flee. The Tibetan cause has been championed by many eminent personalities from around the globe including celebrities and star athletes. The People’s Republic of China invaded and forcefully took control of the peaceful country of Tibet in 1951. The Chinese government even dubbed the events that transpired as the “Peaceful Liberation of Tibet’. After years of Chinese oppression, in 1959 there was a Tibetan uprising where residents of the region demanded their autonomy and freedom from their oppressors.

Scorpions beaten by Red Force in fourth match of Super50 Cup

Evin Lewis stroked an entertaining century to set up the victory for the Red Force. Jamaica Scorpions suffered an immediate setback at the 2021 Regional Super50 Cup in Antigua as Trinidad and Tobago Red Force defeated them by five-wicket in the fourth match of the season, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Evin Lewis smashed a blistering hundred to hand Trinidad and Tobago Red Force the victory. This was the first match at this venue on a fresh pitch and Jamaica Scorpions finished their 50 overs on 258 for six. Trinidad & Tobago Red Force easily reached the target as they made 259 for five off 40.5 overs.
