WEST INDIES (WI) return to the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, on Sunday, goal-bound on completing a One-Day International (ODI) three-match series sweep against Sri Lanka from 9.30 am.
The hosts will be once again banking on the good form of their opening batsmen Evin Lewis and Shai Hope, who have since produced stern contributions in the top order throughout the past two ODIs.
The pair was integral in setting up both victories as Lewis smashed 65 and 103 and Hope blasted 110 and 84 respectively to lead from the start.
West Indies cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards and former greats Richie Richardson and Jimmy Adams on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing coronavirus vaccines to the Caribbean region. In a video message, Richards described India s assistance as a kind gesture and said the region is looking forward to continued relationship with India. The video message has been posted on Twitter by Indian High Commission in Georgetown, Guyana. Thanks India for the wonderful contribution made to our country which is the vaccine. Thank you so much on behalf of Antiguan and Barbudan people, said Richards. Thank you very much Prime Minister Modi and thanks tothe High Commissioner to our region.
