Republic of Ireland Women will fly to Iceland in June for a double header, in preparation for the World Cup Qualifiers which start in September.
Ireland play Iceland on 11 and 15 June in Reykjavik and head coach Vera Pauw told fai.ie: “It is really important that we get to use this international window to continue our preparations for the 2023 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. We have made a lot of positive strides in recent months in each of our sessions together and this week, with two tough games, will provide us with another opportunity to continue that work.

Killaloe mourns ‘iconic’ publican Marie Reddan

THE twin communities of Ballina and Killaloe were united in mourning following the recent death of an “iconic” publican.
Marie Reddan (née McMahon), Main Street, Reddan’s Bar, Killaloe, and formerly of Castleconnell, County Limerick died peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her family.
Tributes have been paid to the 93 year-old, who was one of Killaloe’s best known and respected people.
Councillor Tony O’Brien described the former Ahane camogie player as an “iconic figure” in the life of Killaloe.

THE WPGA ARE seeking clarification from the Camogie Association after reports emerged yesterday that club championship would take place before inter-county this season.
The Camogie Association have since confirmed that the inter-county leagues will begin first, before the players return to their clubs for county championships. Then the inter-county All-Irelands will take place.
