The Imo State government has called on relevant authorities to investigate Rochas Okorocha, Imo West Senator over the recent crisis in Orlu.
Cyprian Akaolisa, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice said Okorocha should be investigated over his silence in the face of the crisis in Orlu.
He made the call while addressing journalists in Owerri, the State capital over the weekend.
Uzodinma said: “It was unfortunate that the senator representing Orlu has said nothing throughout the period Orlu people were being killed. He said nothing throughout the period policemen were being killed; he said nothing.
“But last week I saw his press statement when he visited the House of one traditional ruler and said the monarch was molested when the military asked him to lie on the ground because he failed to identify himself properly.

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has opened up concerning the rumour of his alleged plan to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. Okorocha was reported to have stated that some aggrieved members of the APC may join another force before 2023.
However, the Imo West Senator when he addressed the State Working Committee (SWC) members, zonal, LGA and ward executives of the faction of the APC under his leadership, stated that he is still a member of the party and he has no plans of leaving as no one in APC has more stakes than him.
