IPOs have helped raise $9.7 billion ( Rs 72,755 crore) this year, the second-highest fundraising in a calendar year, with five months still to go and draft prospectuses being filed for $12 billion (Rs 89,000 crore). These IPOs have added $50 billion (Rs 3.71 lakh crore) to India s market cap.
In combining with the special-purpose acquisition company InterPrivate III Financial Partners, the fintech says it will have more than $400 million to pour into marketing campaigns and invest in new technology.
“Some of the companies are what I call emerging gems or crowned gems that are coming to the capital markets, having withstood a reasonable test of time. We are seeing a blend of unique companies, a combination of new age companies and also some of the newer sectors from the traditional space like chemicals, pharma, healthcare and the broader consumer space, ” point out Kotak Investment Bankings S Ramesh and Sourav Mallik.
