A PAIR who travelled from Merseyside to Warrington to commit a burglary have been jailed. Allan Jones and Peter Robinson staked out a home in Westbrook before pouncing and stealing a safe full of cash. After breaking into the property on Tourney Green, the two men had fled the scene with their ill-gotten gains. Following an investigation by proactive Warrington detectives, they discovered the pair had been in the area the day before to do a reconnaissance on the property. Forensic evidence, along with CCTV and witness statements, put the men at the scene on both days and they were subsequently arrested.
