Agri Beef Helps Celebrate Beef Counts 10-Year Anniversary
Wednesday Dec 30th, 2020 It s the 10-year anniversary of Beef Counts; a wonderful program helping to feed the food insecure in Idaho.
Agri Beef Public Relations Manager Melissa Delgadillo say taht Beef Counts is a program that s very near and dear to everyone s heart at Agri Beef. A decade ago, we had conversations with the Idaho Food Bank, and they let us know that protein is an item that s hard to come by at the food bank being a part of the ranching community said Delgadillo. That was something that we, of course, knew we could step up and help provide. And so we helped spearhead the beef count program along with the ranching and farming community here in Idaho.

Boise-based company Agri Beef is helping put meals on the tables of Idahoans in need with a donation of $25,000 worth of beef to the Idaho Foodbank.
The donation, made this month, marks the 10th anniversary of the Beef Counts program, which was formed to help get quality protein choices to the hungry. Meat is often a scarce commodity at food banks, according to President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank Karen Vauk. It is fundamentally important to provide beef protein to individuals and families; giving them the essential nutrients to stay healthy in order to work through difficult times, said Vauk in a statement. It is even more special during the holidays because this program not only provides families the opportunity to enjoy a holiday meal together, but also gives them the gift of knowing that someone cares.
BOISE â Fifteen years ago, Idaho agri-businesswoman Katie Colyer merged her interests in cattle and photography into a career that takes her to 80 to 90 sales and ranches per year.
Sheâs been on the sale podium or behind the scenes at most of the premier cattle events across the country, and many in Eastern Idaho. Based in Boise, she provides internet and live-video streaming auction sale support for a major international company, and she meets the demand for professional photography and videography with her own business, Crystal Clear Creations.
âI really enjoy seeing different ranch operations and visiting new places,â Katie says. âItâs always interesting.â
