KARACHI: The Provincial Task Force on Coronavirus on Thursday decided to continue the on-going restrictions across the province as the number of infected patients hit a new high overnight with over 14 per cent of positive cases among the tested people in Karachi alone.
The provincial Task Force on Coronavirus in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at CM House on Thursday also decided to meet again on next Saturday to review imposition of more non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs).

Presiding over a meeting on gas shortage on Wednesday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the energy department to prepare the provinceâs case under Article 158 of the constitution so he could take it up with the federal government.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh, Principal Secretary to CM Sajid Jamal Abro and Secretary Energy Tariq Shah. The chief minister said the constitution guaranteed the provision of natural gas to the people of the province from where it was being extracted.
âWhen the constitution guarantees this right then how the federal government could deprive the people of Sindh of the gas being extracted from here,â he said.

Karachi, December 22, 2020 (PPI-OT): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he doesn’t know if back door contacts between Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and the Establishment have been established. “This is purely a matter of the PDM leadership and I don’t know what is happening there.” This he said while talking to the media here at Sindh Assembly Building on Tuesday. To a question about the back door contact between the PDM and the Establishment, Murad Ali Shah said, he had no knowledge of such contacts.
