El Paso Un día después de haber colgado el cero en un partido acortado a cinco entradas por la lluvia y de haber anotado 16 carreras, los Chihuahuas de El Paso fueron derrotados la noche de este domingo por los Isótopos de Albuquerque, 12-7, en la liga Triple-A Oeste del beisbol de los Estados Unidos.
Ante poco más de 13 mil aficionados en el Isotopes Park, El Paso se puso arriba en el marcador en la parte alta de la primera entrada con un jonrón solitario de Tucupita Marcano. La respuesta de los de casa llegó rápidamente en el cierre de este inning por medio de un doble de Taylor Motter que mandó a la registradora a Ryan Vilade para el empate. Motter terminó el partido con tres dobles.

The 10-week-old baby girl proved to be quite the good luck charm as she dragged her parents Gabriel and Elissa out to Isotopes Park on Saturday night for her first baseball game and their first sporting event since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

El Paso Los Chihuahuas de El Paso se despacharon con la cuchara grande este sábado por la noche al vencer por paliza de 16 carreras a cero a los Isótopos de Albuquerque, en duelo de la División Este de la Triple-A Oeste del beisbol de las Ligas Menores de los Estados Unidos.
Después de iniciado el juego, hubo un retraso de poco más de una hora por la fuerte lluvia que cayó sobre el Isotopes Park de Albuquerque. Al final, se pudieron jugar solamente cinco entradas, lo que representa que fue un juego oficial.

And there was no amount of rain, or a large number of runs scored by the visiting team, that was going to stop fans from enjoying the party going on at the northeast corner of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard on Saturday night – in what was the largest gathering anywhere in the state of New Mexico since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite a historic 16-0 loss by Albuquerque to the El Paso Chihuahuas that was eventually called off in the top of the sixth inning due to the skies opening up about 8:45 p.m. and dumping rain on Isotopes Park, much of the announced crowd of 10,482 stuck it out through the downpour dancing in the rain and enjoying the music that was part of the team’s wildly popular Mariachis Night promotion.
