Chase Elliott won the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at the Circuit of The Americas road course in Austin on Sunday.
Elliott was in the lead when NASCAR decided to call the race early with just 54 of the 68 laps completed due to rain-conditions. The race had already been red-flagged earlier in the day when a series of wrecks took place as a result of what drivers said were impossible driving conditions due to lack of visibility caused by the amount rain and of water on the pavement.
Kyle Larson finished second, with Joey Lagano in third.
