Final Fantasy XIV continues apace. My bard and black mage are now at level 46, and I’m currently questing through the icy Coerthas, which seems oddly French with all the names ending in -x and -eau. When I first started playing, my circle of

The Ceremony of Eternal Bonding in Final Fantasy XIV allows players to marry that special someone in their life. Whether it’s their significant other or just a friend, you can marry whoever you want in-game. This includes players and characters of the same gender. There are no restrictions set on who you can profess your vows to, as long as you and your partner meet the requirements for the wedding quest in-game. You also get to invite your honored guests to the ceremony to share this special day with them.
The wedding ceremony takes place at the Sanctum of the Twelve in East Shroud within the Ivory Chapel. You can select how elaborate you want your ceremony to be with either the free Standard Plan or the paid Gold or Platinum Plans that require real money to purchase. The differences between each plan are really only cosmetic, so there’s no pressure to spend money if you don’t want to.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers introduced the Trust System to the game. Borrowing the concept from Final Fantasy XI in years past, the Trust System allows players to enter dungeons with AI companions instead of real people. The AI NPCs are among the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, a group of notable characters who have been with the player since the beginning of A Realm Reborn.
The Trust System is great for players who want to try out a new dungeon, but are worried they’ll bring an actual party down with their inexperience. Running in with Trusts instead gives everyone a chance to learn the dungeon’s mechanics first. Or they can skip playing with real people entirely in favor of the Scion characters. Getting started with the system is pretty easy, but as of now, there’s a steep requirement before you can begin using it.
