A reclamation dealer who is a trader at Tansley Market in Matlock is one of the stars of the new series of The Bidding Room, which returns to BBC1 this month.

Melissa Downhill, from Buxton, who runs Tin Man Scrap Metal Recycling with husband Mark, is one of the new dealers on the show’s second series, which launched on January 4.
The show, which is presented by Nigel Havers, is essentially a Dragons Den for antiques, where customers get their items valued before entering the Bidding Room to pitch their items to the dealers, in hopes of walking away with an offer.
