Melcher-Dallas Track Finishes Season at Lamoni

Melcher-Dallas’ track squads will finish their season on the road as they travel to Bluegrass Conference opponent Lamoni Monday afternoon. The Saints’ girls are coming off competing at the Raiderette Relays in Mount Ayr Thursday afternoon. Melcher-Dallas’ Grace Overgaard continued to impress throughout the course of the season as she finished the meet with a third-place finish in shot put and first-place finish in discus. Haley Godfrey was second in the shot put Thursday. The Saints’ boys are coming off finishing seventh in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament Tuesday. The biggest highlight of the season for Melcher-Dallas are Steven and Ryan Krpan, who have helped them win both individual and team events throughout the course of the season. The Krpan twins were a part of the 1600 medley relay team that took home first place in the meet.

Some of the highest rainfall totals were reported in Will County, where 2.57 inches of rain fell in suburban Plainfield, according to the National Weather Service. Survey summaries from individual lakes and rivers, fish species lengths compared across lakes, and fish length and weight data can be viewed and downloaded from Survey-Data. Additional data and summaries will be available in the future. This weekly fishing report is compiled from information gathered from local bait shops, angler creel surveys and county and state parks staff. You can check the activity of your favorite lake or stretch of river within each district, including which species are being caught, a rating of the bite (slow, fair, good or excellent), as well as a hot bait or lure pattern.
