FORT WORTH, Texas William Madison McDonald is considered by most to be the first Black millionaire in Texas.
While he figured out some savvy ways to find financial success through banking, politics and entrepreneurship, he also provided new and valuable opportunities for the Black community.
McDonald was born a little more than a year after the Civil War near Terrell, Texas. His parents named him after William Shakespeare and James Madison.

SunStar Group inaugurates obelisk marker of Jose Abad Santos in Carcar City
The dedication ceremony of an obelisk marker in honor of the late Jose Abad Santos was led by LKML’s Worshipful Master David Alexander T. Patriana in coordination with the DPWH 2nd District headed by District Engineer and Masonic member Engr. Leslie Anthony Molina, local government unit of Carcar City represented by its City Administrator Roger Montesclaros and Council. + February 19, 2021 The Leon Kilat Masonic Lodge (LKML) No. 437 inaugurated and performed a dedication ceremony of an obelisk marker in honor of the late Jose Abad Santos, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, on Feb. 17, 2021 in Sitio Tan-awan, Barangay Guadalupe in Carcar City, Cebu.

Masonic Lodge Provides Computers for Schools
Gallatin Mason Lodge #6 provided some local schools computers to help facilitate online teaching and learning. Along with Ancient Free & Accepted Masons (A.F.&A.M), the Gallatin Mason Lodge #6 provided some desktop computers to the Bozeman School District and several laptop computers to the Gallatin Gateway School District. These donations will aid in improving access by both teachers and students to online and in-person public education within the local school districts.
