Victim Identified in Three Lakes Crash

The victim has been identified as 59-year-old George Steinhaus, who was attempting to get a pickup out of the ditch along Highway X in Oneida County. Investigators say George was run over by the vehicle as it was backing out of the ditch. He was declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 29-year-old Samuel Steinhaus has been arrested on suspicion of 3rd offense OWI, homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, operating a vehicle with a revoked license, and failure to install an ignition lock device.

The recent course, Training Of Trainers, was held for the Kenosha Police Department at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. The organization Fair and Impartial Policing ran the event. The company “uses modern science to train police officers on implicit bias and gives them the tools they need to reduce and manage bias,” according to their website. Fair and Impartial Policing© organization has provided implicit-bias-awareness training to agencies to state, local, federal and university police organizations.

That organization, the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), has deep ties to Wisconsin law enforcement including Kenosha-area departments heavily involved in the response to protests for racial justice in that city this summer. The 176-page document “Understanding Antifa and Urban Guerrilla Warfare,” was emailed to the ILEETA’s members in October, according to the Associated Press, which first reported on the document.
