Boy Scout Food drive will collect food from households April 17

APPLETON – The Bay-Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America is hosting its annual food drive April 17 in several communities throughout the Fox Valley, and will be distributing bags to households this Saturday.  Scouts of all ages will then return to collect the bags of food beginning at 8 a.m. on April 17.  The scouts are working with Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, St. Joseph Food Program in the Fox Cities, the Sheboygan County Food Bank in Sheboygan and local food pantries in Fond du Lac to organize the drive. More than 100 agencies in Eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will benefit from the food donations, according to Bay Lakes Council. The pantries depend on the drive to stock shelves and continue serving those in need.
