12 people made redundant from Rotorua Lakes Council.
Rotorua Lakes Council made 12 people redundant in 2020, and one of those staff members says, in his view, the way it was carried out was laughably unprofessional .
Another person says they believe there is an escalating bullying culture at the council.
The council says the changes have been cost-neutral , are not due to Covid-19 and those made redundant had an opportunity to provide feedback directly to the council.
Payments for 13 redundancies - including one of three in 2019 - totalled nearly $500,000.
APPLETON – The Bay-Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America is hosting its annual food drive April 17 in several communities throughout the Fox Valley, and will be distributing bags to households this Saturday.
Scouts of all ages will then return to collect the bags of food beginning at 8 a.m. on April 17.
The scouts are working with Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, St. Joseph Food Program in the Fox Cities, the Sheboygan County Food Bank in Sheboygan and local food pantries in Fond du Lac to organize the drive.
More than 100 agencies in Eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will benefit from the food donations, according to Bay Lakes Council. The pantries depend on the drive to stock shelves and continue serving those in need.
