Though it s already received high praise, Nikola Tesla STEM High School isn t even old enough to graduate yet.
When people mention âcampusâ in Redmond, theyâre almost never talking about a school. With athletic fields, winding walkways, and scores of buildings, Microsoftâs sprawling Eastside headquarters merits a descriptor once reserved for the scholastic realm. Even the moniker for its row of shops, âthe Commons,â sounds like student union-speak.
Parents, students protest continued remote learning at Lake Washington School District

REDMOND, Wash. For the parents who felt like their voices haven t been heard since last March, outside the Lake Washington School District headquarters, a couple hundred made sure their voices were hard to ignore. They want their kids back in the classroom.
This comes after learning that students in grades 6-12 will not be returning to the classroom for the rest of the year.

Hundreds of parents and students rallied in Redmond on Monday, right outside the Lake Washington School District headquarters.
“Open schools now,” the crowd chanted.
The hundreds at the rally were demanding that the school district reconsider its decision and provide more transparency of the thought process.
Many parents at the rally said their students are struggling.
“It’s a really tough time,” said Jody Issacson, one parent at the rally.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is on its way, baby! An advisory panel to the Food and Drug Administration voted to approve the single-dose COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use. The agency is expected to formally authorize its use on Saturday, with the nation s first shipments of the virus-fighting juice heading out just days after. Washington will likely be allocated 60,900 doses next week. Johnson & Johnson s vaccine does not match Pfizer s or Moderna s efficacy rates, but it still works well against severe disease and hospitalizations.
