Humboldt RCMP have charged a 45-year-old priest who oversees three parishes in rural Saskatchewan communities in connection with “multiple” alleged incidents of a sexual nature between early September and early November.

In a media release, RCMP said the alleged incidents happened between Sept. 1 and Nov. 4 and were reported to police on Nov. 5. Atter was arrested on Dec. 13.
Atter is the priest responsible for the parishes of St. Gregory in St. Gregor, Sask., St Ann in Annaheim, Sask., and St. Anthony in Lake Lenore, Sask.
SASKATOON Humboldt RCMP have laid sexual assault charges against a priest after receiving “a report of multiple incidents of a sexual nature.” Anthony Tei Atter, 45, of Lake Lenore, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. Under the Criminal Code, a person is charged with sexual interference in connection to alleged incidents involving a young person under 16 years of age. He is the priest responsible for the parishes of St. Gregory, St. Ann and St. Anthony, RCMP said in a news release.
St. Anthony s Roman Catholic Church in Lake Lenore, Sask. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon said in a statement that it learned of the charges on Wednesday.
