Dear friends, as we wrap up what has been a challenging 2020 for everyone, Woodlawn Cemetery included, we send this appeal letter seeking your support and encourage you to help keep our mission stay alive as we move forward into the coming year and beyond.
Woodlawn Cemetery is a 501(c)(13) nonprofit organization, which continues to serve families in Winona and surrounding areas. The cemetery is considered one of the historic landscape pillars of our community going back to 1862. Woodlawn originated as a result of some spirited citizens of Winona coming together to plan, organize, raise money and develop Woodlawn Cemetery.
Woodlawn Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery with over 22,000 interments in the cemetery grounds. Our historic cemetery allows anyone to be buried here as it is not affiliated with any church organizations. You might have a family member or know someone who has been interred at Woodlawn Cemetery.
