Wardens Amie Egstad, of Bayfield, had received a report of a tribal member harassing/killing a seagull on Lake Superior. The information was turned over to a tribal warden who interviewed the person and enforcement action was taken.
Wardens Matthew Koshollek, of Drummond, and Phil Brown, of Iron River, took enforcement action against a crossbow hunter after he admitted to shooting a large 11-point buck in September 2020 and then tagging the deer with the license of a relative. The hunter then shot another buck with his crossbow in November 2020.

The man arrested for allegedly injuring two people by driving by The Reef Night Club and shooting at the building April 18 was released on a $5,000 cash bond Tuesday.
Mark A. Perales, 27, of El Paso, was charged in Sauk County Circuit Court with two felony counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and two counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle at a building.

Perales appeared in court Monday via video from the Sauk County Jail. As a condition of his bond, he is not allowed to be in Lake Delton unless driving through on the interstate.

Man sentenced to 110 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine

MADISON, Wis. A Waupun man was sentenced Wednesday to nine years and two months in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Timothy Savannah, 29, pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 2. The charge stemmed from a drug investigation that led to the arrest of two men in September 2020.
Officials said an undercover police officer bought methamphetamine from Savannah on two occasions in Lake Delton during the investigation. The two sales totaled 76 grams of meth, according to court officials.
On Sept. 18, police executed a search warrant at a Lake Delton apartment where Savannah was staying. During their search, officers recovered a loaded handgun, a variety of drugs and more than $7,000 in cash.
