كشفت إدارة سد الروصيرص في السودان عن استمرار انخفاض وارد المياه من النيل الأزرق بنسبة تصل إلى 50%، في وقت قالت فيه إثيوبيا إنها تتجهز لمواجهة فيضانات خطيرة.
وحذّرت إدارة السد من أن تأخر استئناف المفاوضات سيعرض سد الروصيرص للخطر. وكانت القاهرة قد أعلنت اتخاذ إجراءات لمواجهة أي نقص محتمل للمياه.
وفي أديس أبابا، أعلنت اللجنة الوطنية العليا لإدارة الكوارث في إثيوبيا أن نحو نصف مليون شخص مهددون بخطر الفيضانات في عدد من الأقاليم الإثيوبية، من بينها إقليم أمهرة الذي توجد فيه بحيرة تانا منبع النيل الأزرق. ووصفت اللجنة، الفيضاناتِ بالخطيرة.
