OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - There are half a dozen lucky duckies getting the care they need after Olmsted Township Police rescued them from a storm drain when their âMama Duckâ left.
According to police, Ptlm. Dieckman and Sgt. Covic along with Olmsted Township firefighters Jansen and Dean responded to Oakwood Estates on Wednesday morning to get the ducks out of the drain.
âAlthough a few of them werenât cooperative in the rescue efforts, members of the police and fire departments were able to grab them, ultimately rescuing them from the drain!â police said.

WESTLAKE, Ohio The stately Clague House at 1371 Clague Road in Westlake, once the home of the Clague family, is marking another milestone this year: its 145th birthday.
In non-pandemic times, the Westlake Historical Society offers tours of the house and it can be reserved for special occasions, including weddings. The historical society also hosts special events there, including fundraisers.
Lysa Stanton, historical society president, and her husband, Dave Pfister, a board member, coordinate special photo opportunities at the house for holidays. Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Uncle Sam have visited and posed with pets and people for a small fee.
