More Twin Cities breweries offer free beer with COVID vaccine

Now, two more Twin Cities breweries are helping to replicate that effort with upcoming events.
56 Brewing in Minneapolis will host a COVID-19 vaccine pop-up clinic from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 28. Anyone interested can sign up for a time slot here.
And Clockwerks Brewing, also in Minneapolis, will do the same Saturday, May 29, from 12-5 p.m., during the day s Twins game. Sign-ups for A Poke and a Pilsner are available here.
At both events, anyone who comes in to get the vaccine will also get a free pint, said Dr. Jena Wirt, an ICU physician and one of the organizers of the pop-up clinics.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) If you’re looking for further incentive to get your COVID-19 vaccine, how about a free beer?
Starting Wednesday, OMNI Brewing Co. in Maple Grove is offering one free beer to anyone who shows their vaccination card within one week of getting their shot, according to the brewery’s owner.
This isn’t the first instance of a Minnesota brewery incentivizing the shot. On Monday, Lake Monster Brewing hosted a pop-up vaccination site with St. Paul Corner Drug.

A total of 141 people received a shot and a beer at a special COVID-19 vaccination event Monday night outside Lake Monster Brewing in St. Paul that is seeking to help push Minnesota closer to its 70% immunization goal.
While 60.5% of eligible Minnesotans 16 or older, or more than 2.6 million people, have received at least a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, state health officials have said it will take more creative approaches to maintain progress and get the state to its target goal.
Gov. Tim Walz is scheduled Tuesday afternoon to appear at CHS Field in advance of the St. Paul Saints home opener to highlight an on-site vaccination effort taking place there as well. Volunteers arranged Monday s vaccination event at Lake Monster, which provided a coupon for a free beer for recipients, said Dr. Anne Griffiths, a coordinator of the event.

A St. Paul brewery is partnering with a neighborhood pharmacy for COVID-19 vaccinations and beer Monday.
Lake Monster Brewing Company announced it is partnering with St. Paul Corner Drug for the pop-up vaccination clinic.
The clinic is taking place starting at 6 p.m. Monday at the brewery, located on Vandalia Street.
Organizers said there are 300 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine to distribute. Interested participants are able to fill out a form in advance here.
Those who stop by the event for the free COVID-19 shot are also then able to enjoy a free beer.
