Coach Katie Burrows has certainly been focusing on that in recent practices as she wants her Lady Mocs to be more consistent overall and to keep playing good defense.
Burrows got her wish for the most part on Friday night at McKenzie Arena where Chattanooga won its third straight game and improved to 13-8 overall and 8-4 on conference play with a 57-41 victory over UNC Greensboro.

YOUNGSTOWN Teachers and administrators at McGuffey Elementary School are “Painting the Town McGuffey” to recognize scholars’ academic and attendance achievements.
McGuffey staff picked up signs and have posted them in the yards of students who made the school’s honor roll and those who achieved high attendance.
“We wanted to ‘Paint the Town McGuffey’ because we want our scholars to know that we are proud of them even at a distance and that we celebrate their achievements,” Eboni Williams, McGuffey’s fifth- through eighth-grade principal, said. “We also want the community to know the awesome scholars we have here at McGuffey.”

It might not have been quite as lopsided as Thursday night’s 74-45 victory, but Saturday’s 72-58 win by the Chattanooga Lady Mocs over Western Carolina made head coach Katie Burrows as happy as she’s been in a while.
This year’s conference schedule has been different than the past as each team plays other teams twice in three days at the same location. This was the fifth such series for the Lady Mocs, but the first time all season they got a sweep.

The Chattanooga women’s basketball team placed five in double figures Saturday afternoon at Hawkins Arena to lead the Mocs to a 69-60 Southern Conference victory over Mercer. UTC improves to 9-7 overall and 4-3 in league play while the Bears move to 11-5 on the year and 5-2 against the conference.
We had five in double-figures and our starters just killed it today,” Mocs head coach Katie Burrows said. “We had some opportunities for some reserves to come in and give them some quality minutes and get a breath. Just real proud of the overall effort.
