Award Winning Oklahoma Nonprofit Receives Mobile Shower Unit To Help The Homeless
A non-profit is just weeks away from being able to drive around Tulsa with a mobile shower unit to help the homeless.
Donations paid for the trailer that the Be Heard Movement will be using to do Something Good for those in need.
25-year-old Evan Dougoud makes documentary films at homeless camps across Tulsa. Just trying to restore dignity, said Evan.
In less than a year, Evan has won awards. I won the Rising Star Award and only one person in the whole Oklahoma gets it. I had no clue I was even in the running for it, said Evan.

One of the first words Avery Proffitt ever said, turned out to be prophetic. We knew that she had to have horses. I think it was maybe her second word, Avery’s Mom Tessa Proffitt said.
After asking for one every year, Avery s wish was granted when she turned nine. I was really happy, I started crying, and ran and gave my parents a big hug, Avery said.
Seven horses later, Avery is now taking the reins in training. She s always seeking more information every day, Tessa said. There s something to learn about horses every single day.
