UPDATE, 8:30 p.m.:
According to the Bibb County Sheriff s Office, the driver, a 49-year-old man, has been rescued from the accident.
They say the accident happened when the man drove off the road and hit a power pole.
He was taken to the Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
