– A new report has details on the attendance for last night’s ROH Best in the World. PWInsider reports that the show drew about 1,250 paid attendees, as well as some additional guests and comped tickets.
– Speaking of the fans at Best in the World, Ian Riccaboni noted that he got emotional at last night’s show, writing:
“I teared up when I sat down after my entrance.
I was at an 11 all night.
So many lost so much during the pandemic. I’m so thankful those that made it through were able to join us and enjoy @ringofhonor #ROHBITW.
If you liked what you saw, give our TV a try. Happy Wrestling!”
Sixteen competitors will compete this summer and fall for the Ring of Honor Women s Championship and the full bracket was revealed at Sunday s Best in the World.
Joining the field to replace Vita VonStarr is Chelsea Green who debuted on Sunday s show. Released in April by WWE, the former Impact Knockouts Champion will make her ROH in-ring debut later this summer.
The tournament will kick off on ROH TV on July 31st with the finals set for September s Death Before Dishonor. Lenny Leonard will return to the company to call the action, his first for ROH in 12 years.
The upper left side of the bracket will see Sumie Sakai take on Rok-C while Green will face Mandy Leon. The bottom right side will see Max The Impaler against Holidead while Angelina Love has a first round bye.
Best in the World PPV, ROH released the bracket and a Hot Mess crashed the party.
Chelsea Green has arrived to ROH.
Vita VonStarr received a spot in the tournament with the condition that she stay out of interfering in men’s matches, specifically backing Vincent and his Righteous faction in their feud with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. VonStarr violated the condition, so she was booted from the tournament. That meant one spot was open.
Enter Chelsea Green. Hot Mess cut a promo about being deemed unworthy for opportunity. She will be doing things different in ROH. Green came to ROH to win the championship. Unfortunately, she is not cleared to compete due to recovery from a broken wrist. Hot Mess will sit ringside and watch every single match to study her competitors. Once Green is back in the ring, she will show why she deserves to hold the title.

Ring of Honor announced today that the full bracket will be revealed this Sunday. The tournament will be featured on ROH TV, and is scheduled to begin the weekend of July 31.
The only thing confirmed for the tournament is that Angelina Love has a first round bye, which she earned by defeating Quinn McKay in May. McKay will be able to earn her ticket to the tournament if she can defeat Mandy Leon on ROH TV the weekend of July 17.
