Capitol riot family needs legal help: parenting advice from Care and Feeding

Dear Care and Feeding, I found out, via a news clip, that my 19-year-old nephew was involved in the Capitol riots. There is video footage of him waving a Confederate flag and trying to break into the building. I am aghast, obviously. I’m a British man, but my older sister moved to the U.S. decades ago and married an evangelical preacher. The sister I knew and loved, who had supported me when I came out as gay in my teens, turned seemingly overnight into a small-minded homophobe. She has visited our mum (a single mother) once a year since the move, and for the sake of my mum I attend a family meal with them, though I refused to stop bringing my husband when my sister and BIL started worrying about my “influence” on their young son. We always got through it by talking about nothing of substance at all no news, no politics, no debate on my human rights, etc. Now, however, I do not want to see them ever again. I had no idea they had gotten this bad.

Husband accused me of cheating: How do I disprove an allegation I know is untrue?

Dear How to Do It, My beloved husband of more than 19 years has accused me of being unfaithful, breaking my vows. I’m not. I didn’t. Nothing can convince him he is wrong. He has started making multiple accusations going back for five years. None of them are true, but there is no way I can prove it. (How can you prove what didn’t happen?) I offered to take a polygraph, tried hypnotherapy to remember dates from the past that he references. The therapy office did some counseling, and guess what, the therapist had been cheated on by three different wives, so he told my husband he was probably right about me. Boyfriend s rough hands make fingering impossible: sex advice

Dear How to Do It, I’m a woman in my early 30s, and I’ve been dating my early 30s boyfriend for about a year. Our sex life is generally great, except for one thing: fingering. Getting fingered is hands down (no pun intended) my favorite sex act, but my boyfriend is a carpenter with big hands who also bites his nails, resulting in super calloused and jacked-up hands and ragged nails.
