Ladies and gents, the bike smashing into your visual cortex is none other than Canyon Bicycles Precede:ON CF 9. I’m sure you’ve heard of Canyon before, but not so sure you’ve heard of the Precede. Why? Well, this bike seems to only be available in Europe, where the urban biking scene is a bit more developed than in the U.S.
Still, if you know little about Canyon, I can tell you it has been around since 1985 when Roman Arnold and his brother, Franc Arnold, founded Radsport Arnold. Much later, in 2021, the company rebranded and adopted a slightly different sales approach: the internet. It seems like business has been booming since then and have risen to become a world-renowned cycling force.

According to E Movement, this is the “only” affordable high-tech bike in the world, the absolute
“Road Master” that will
“change the way you explore urban and rural forever.” These are very high claims, to be sure, and they would probably be enough to get you turned away from the project, under different circumstances. But strip away the hyperbole and the PR talk, and you get the promise of a competent and high-tech bike, offered at an affordable, probably unbeatable, price.

Ladies and gentlemen, what you see is not the newest chopper from Paul Jr. Designs, but rather a rendering by Vietnam-based Carota Design. This design group has an eye for everything from phones to sneakers, scooters, and e-bikes like the one here.
This particular design is known as nothing more than the Classic Ebike. Honestly, it doesn t even matter what it s called; it’s the sort of design that will surely attract a whole lot of eyes assuming someone eventually builds it.
So far, all I was able to find on this concept are these renderings. Carota makes no mention of any components or materials used in building the bike. However, we can still paint a decent picture of what’s going on.
