A driver was killed Monday morning after crashing into a highway toll booth in Bedford, New Hampshire, police said. State police responded to the Bedford tolls on the Everett Turnpike southbound around 10:15 a.m. Monday. The driver, identified as Richard Cote, 65, of Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Cote lost control of his 2006 Jeep Wrangler.

A serious crash Friday morning on the Everett Turnpike led to traffic backups on both sides of the highway.The highway was briefly closed on both sides of the highway near Exit 12.
