In a Bit of a Bikel: A Look at the Vancouver Whitecaps’ Defence

By most measures the Vancouver Whitecaps had one of the the worst defences in a very weird 2020 MLS season. They were last in the league expected goals against, 4th from bottom in actual goals against, and last in shots conceded. But in all of their post season interviews Axel Schuster and Marc Dos Santos have both stressed the need for attacking solutions. Good Friday morning friends, hope you all are getting ready for a restful weekend amid this busy holiday season.
MLS offseason is now in full swing: obscure drafts no one ever pays attention to, GAM and TAM getting tossed around like its going out of style, teams being linked to over-the-hill superstars the world over.

TORONTO - Expansion Austin FC will pick first in the Jan. 21 MLS SuperDraft with a second first-round selection (11th overall) coming courtesy of the trade that sent Canadian defender Kamal Miller to the Montreal Impact during this week s expansion draft.
The Vancouver Whitecaps also have two first-round picks â their own ninth selection and the 23rd, obtained in a December 2018 trade that sent forward Erik Hurtado to Sporting Kansas City.
FC Cincinnati will choose second, followed by Houston, D.C. United and Atlanta.
Toronto FC goes 18th in the first round, followed by selections in the second round (45th overall) and third (64th and 72nd). The 64th pick came from Miami in a December 2019 deal for the rights to Juan Agudelo.

Biden made a drive-in rally appearance in Georgia: Speaking over cheers and car honks, Biden spoke in support of Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock, the two Democrats looking to unseat Republican incumbent Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in Georgia s runoff Senate election. If Ossoff and Warnock both do the deed, it would give the Democrats control of the Senate, assuring Biden s cabinet picks a speedy confirmation process. Biden s speech comes after two recounts in the state, with Georgia s electors casting their votes for him yesterday. Thank you for standing strong
