John Becker, the same Republican lawmaker who drafted articles of impeachment against Gov. Mike DeWine, filed a private citizen affidavit in September, attempting to charge the Ohio governor with 10 criminal counts.Becker said in a release that he filed the affidavit as a private citizen in an attempt to charge the governor with several criminal offenses for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. A Clermont County woman convicted of murdering her estranged husband over a child custody dispute faces up to life in prison when she is sentenced on Friday, May 28.
Clermont County Prosecutor Mark Tekulve announced the sentencing date today in a news release that also said he will seek the maximum penalty allowed by law against Angelina Hamrick.
Hamrick was found guilty of aggravated murder with a gun specification on April 29 after a three-week jury trial.
Her husband, Jason Hamrick, was killed on June 28, 2019.
Two days later, relatives of Jason Hamrick reported him missing when he didn’t show up for a family function.

The Clermont County Court of Common Pleas and Municipal Court and Municipal Court Clerk of Courts will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to the weather.
In addition to Common Please and Municipal courts, these courts will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 15) due to the weather: Domestic, Juvenile and Probate.
The Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office will be closed as well.

The shooting took place around 11 p.m. Sunday on St. Andrews Drive when officers responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot. Officers on scene found a man shot in the parking lot. That man was identified by detectives Tuesday as Corey Lawwill. The suspect, identified as Cody Crawford, stayed on the scene and was arrested and charged with murder.The investigation is ongoing.Anyone with information is asked to call the Clermont County Prosecutor s Office at 513-732-7313.
