The city has changed - it’s full of electric scooters.

When e-scooters appear on pavements, however, it becomes an issue as it’s one that we have not seen before. Of course, the proliferation of Voi hire scooters should not cause a problem to anyone with mobility and sight issues or with a pushchair. But these same problems occur on a daily basis around Bristol due to cars parking on pavements. It is cars parking on pavements that we should worry about, not e-scooters.

A stunned homeowner woke up to find over 100 e-scooters outside his house - after it was made an official parking spot without him knowing Baffled Shane Clarke, 60, opened his front door on Saturday morning to find an e-scooter pile-up outside his property in a posh suburb in Bristol. Retired medic Shane said people had been leaving some Voi scooters outside his house at the top of Elm Lane off Whiteladies Road for a while. But he suspects other locations may have been removed from a list of designated scooter parking spots from an official app. He thinks his house is now the only option to leave scooters in the area.

A303 in Somerset closed after three vehicle crash involving lorry The crash happened earlier today A road was closed after a three vehicle crash involving a lorry. The A303 was shut for about an hour earlier today from Wincanton to Sparkford as a result of the collision. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called to the crash involving two cars and a lorry at 3.30pm. He said no injuries were reported in the crash and the road was cleared at 4.30pm. Traffic monitoring service Inrix is reporting a collision on nearby B3081, saying the road is closed from Elm Lane to Wincanton Golf Club.
