ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. The Elkhart County Historical Museum will host a virtually guided tour of its Crossroads of Elkhart County: Claiming the Land exhibit.
This exhibit covers the time in history when the Miami and Potawatomi encountered European groups and concludes with early American settlement as well as the formation of Elkhart County.
History that transpired within and between the Native, French, British and American communities will also be showcased.

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Historical Museum will present their free program, “Virtual Stories of Elkhart: The COVID-19 Pandemic,” on April 22 and 23.
The virtual program will show how Elkhart County has been impacted by the pandemic.
“It’s rare that we present a program about a historical event that is still happening, but with the pandemic affecting everyone in some way we felt we couldn’t ignore the historic importance,” said Curator of Education Patrick McGuire.
The program will chronicle local impacts of the pandemic with topics like the initial shutdowns, protests over restrictions, what challenges hospitals and first responders have faced, and the more than 400 people who died from the

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Historical Museum is hosting its final virtual class in its photograph care series next week.
In this free session, the museum’s Curator of Collections will teach participants how to digitize and share their photos.
Participants can attend the class on March 11 at 7 p.m. or March 12 at 1 p.m. via the Google Meet platform.
Registration is required by signing up here and closes one hour prior to the start of each program.
Attending the other two classes in the series is not a prerequisite.
