Auguries of an ever-intensifying imperialist attack against Venezuela have arrived early. Carlos Vecchio, a former Exxon lawyer who currently serves as an envoy for former National Assembly (AN) deputy Juan Guaidó, was invited to Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021. When the Trump regime initiated a coup against Venezuela’s government in January 2019, Vecchio became Guaidó’s ambassador, and has become a prominent person in the US-based exile lobby dedicated to toppling Maduro’s administration.

Covid-19 pandemic reaches Antarctica
Santiago, Chile, Dec 23 (Prensa Latina) The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is spreading through Antarctica, making it the last continent to be affected by the pandemic.
El Mercurio newspaper reported that a new coronavirus case was detected this time at the Eduardo Frei Montalva Base, the largest Chilean enclave in the inhospitable region, located west of King George Island and one of the most important Antarctic base of Chile.
Only two days ago, at least 36 cases based at the Bernardo O Higgins research station, also in Antarctica, tested positive for PCR tests to detect Covid-19, according to the Chilean Army.

On December 21, a Chilean research base in Antarctica reported the first cases of coronavirus on the remote continent.
For months, Antarctica remained untouched by the virus, and researchers lives had been as normal as pre-pandemic conditions.
