Hansen asked a judge to dismiss her lawsuit last month after agreeing to the settlement with the city in May. The agreement, provided by the city attorney, states that the settlement is not an admission of liability to Hansen s claims that the city and council members violated open meetings and open records laws or that she experienced sexual harassment and discrimination while on the job.
As part of the settlement, the city will pay Hansen and her attorney s firm, Coppola, McConville, Carroll, Hockenberg and Flynn, P.C., a total of $125,000. Of that sum, $2,500 will go toward Hansen s lost wages, $110,393.58 will be paid for her claim of emotional distress damages and $12,106.42 will be paid to her attorney.
