LEE, N.Y. – Five people were sent to the hospital following a two-car accident in the town of Lee Friday afternoon.
Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says 76-year-old Richard McCarthy, of Rome, collided with another vehicle around 12:20 p.m., when he tried to turn left into a driveway and failed to yield the right of way.
Maciol says both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash.
